Now I know you better

I’ll never forget the flags waving in front of the pines along the landing strip. I’ll never forget how proud I was of you then.

Someday my buddies and I will drive up to your place, and camp in the woods nearby. We’ll have a bonfire and bring our wives, and at 2 am we’ll all walk over and watch your great old house burn down to the ground.

A week later someone else will find it all gone. There is a curse on the property however; the grass will remain fresh and mown all along the drive, and the forest will never grow an inch closer.
