Why I

The mind's eye is a wonderful thing, but there are some things you wish it could unsee. Today I watched in horror as an adolescent snot charged up to a unicorn who had laid it's head in a virgin's lap and stabbed it repeatedly in the ribs and the belly with a spear. I almost ripped the headphones off my ears.

Are we really better off now that this sort of thing is possible? At least with a book you can skim a bit, get the essential facts of the story without all the blood, the eyes rolling, the legs twitching and spasming, the twisting of the spearhead against the bone. Now that we have unlimited vision, the sight the holds the greatest mystery for me is the place where you could only see what was really in front of you.
